Insight Enterprises Ltd is an owner run company with an impressive history.
Insight was conceived by Danny Ratcliffe in 1998 with a clear mission, to provide a service that could not be beaten in the field of Building Maintenance Units (Cradle Access Equipment) and Material Handling Equipment. It was recognised that the competition could not offer a quick, efficient and reliable service, taking days to respond to the simplest request. With years of experience, Danny set out to improve a service, which he considered to be lacking customers wants and needs, little did he know that this was to 'shake up' the industry.
With a solid service structure and a dedication to customers' needs Insight's reputation grew and grew fast. It was quickly found that "Insight offered a Service to be relied on, at an efficient price".
A growing reputation, draws some attention, it was found that competitors were beginning to notice this 'Start up Company' climbing the reputation ranks. The competition was starting to emulate Insights ideas, whilst it is said that 'to be copied is the greatest compliment', in business, it means you have to work twice as hard to stay ahead.
Danny realised very early on that re-investment was the key to stay ahead and succeed.
Re-investment was made on a huge scale, with custom, cutting edge computer systems, bespoke software, training programs and acquiring in the very best engineers around.
Insight maintained its market leading edge.
With rapid growth comes rapid responsibility, whilst Danny's experience in the Cradle and Handling industry took him so far, he realised that the company was becoming bigger than he could manage and it was time to find some real help. Not an easy thing to do.
Insight had been working with a respected competitor Felco Hoists Ltd for a number of years and had built a close business relationship with Phil Rabin the Cradle Access Manager.......... to cut a long story short Danny brought the company and incorporated it into Insight during 2002, in doing so Danny purchased extraordinary experience, 75 years in the making and a trusted partner. Phil was made a full shareholding Director in 2005.
With a trusted partner, experienced staff and a winning formula, Insight had established and secured itself as a Market Leader, but realised that its customers were experiencing the poor service it set out to eliminate in other areas. Insight set out to change this....
During 2005 the 'Insight formula' was applied first to Insight Access Systems then Insight Height Safety and then Insight Cleaning Solutions, with dedicated management and embracing a proved business plan, each division has flourished it their own right and continue to provide a quality service and a bench mark to their respective industry.
During 2007 Insight Disabled Access was formed and become an instant success, with its plain speaking, plain costing approach to an industry that had become fat with complacency.
During 2008 - 2009, Insight Horticulture and Insight Hygiene Services were born these divisions have expanded and flourished beyond expectations and have helped Insight supply a full rounded range of services.
Through mid-2010, Insight Lift Services was brought on board to fill a gap in the general services Insight offered. Wanting to offer a more complete facilities services package and to add to its 'multi-contract' pricing appeal, Insight recruited the best Lift Management team and provided them with the best Lift engineers that money could buy.
This combination and together with Insights 'tight ship' attitude has provided the industry with the service that was missing in the field of Lifts.Insights customers have embraced these extra services and realised that Insight is making some real cost savings for them.
A Multi Services Discount structure was introduced, giving customers some impressive savings.
Insights customers' loyalty is now rewarded with real savings; having established a mutual benefit program that secures Insights cost cutting agenda.
